Stoughton May 27th 1936

Dear Folks
We are still having it cool these must have been showers around us yesterday. the wind blew all night + to day is cold enough for a fire & a sweater is not out of place such weather Mr Harrington came yesterday while Mrs Barry was down to the movies he brought me a bundle of pieces too good to braid up from his wife she heard me say I wanted some rags for my rug. he stayed talking with me over an hour I told him that it was lonesome & glad he came. he is anything but happy poor man. & anxious to talk of his troubles no one can help him "he made his bed & in it he must lie." there is no sympathy between them. we are very sorry for them both but nothing one can do. eventually they will separate the little boy will be taken & it may break his heart thats the worst of it, he would not mind her going I guess he is sick of her nagging way. she is anxious to stand in right with us be we can see where her ways & not fitted to make him a home loving man happy she is artistic & a great creater [[creator]] with her needle & too ambitious wants to run everything regardless of his
