Dear Doris

Showery & warmer this morning. every thing is coming forward very fast. our lilac that barely showed buds a week ago now are shooting ahead & even white are seen in the clusters, there never were as many buds. the warm days we had last week sent every thing ahead with plenty of moisture in the ground.

Mrs Barry called up Percy last night & he reported Alice was getting along nicely & would come home in a few days. the trouble was caused from worry over trouble, which affected her nerves & aggravated her old [[?]] & caused her spasams. I am sorry for them both. but he is working now & may get something later more permanent.

Lena has not showed up lately. she went one day to the movies with Mrs Barry last. Bill we have not seen since he came home from Florida. guess he has gone back on us also. but we dont fret. the Harringtons are loyal Mrs Barry is going to have him take her over to J Bolbrook. she wants to get at her trunks. before they are moved away. the folks are gone & the house is empty. she will have to find a place to store them in before
