Careta is giving a party Saturday night to people who think they are it & she is invited to that, she has brought over from Holbrook a beautiful velvet made over chiffon, evening dress rust color its elegant. and is to weare that. she is one who thinks all to much of dress & spends her money for that alone, she takes with the crowd. Myrtie says Mamie Kate is better. so she was taken over to Brockton to have an exray taken of her hand. Alice is going to the hospital for observation she has spasms two while she was there last night so Myrtie said. she dont eat anything and looks dreadfully Careta says. something will have to be done I fear or she wont live long. Mildreds girl is with her now. Percy may have to get help from the town, I pity them both, there is nothing one can do as the circumstances are. too bad he lost his job in the factory. turned down for a younger man Irishman probably. That family over accross the way the ones who got noteriety this winter are moving. they are not so bad for they mind their own business. we wonder who will come in there next. no one stays there long. its a cold house & rent high. I wonder at Lena being satisfied with that low damp place. Monday she went with Mrs Barry to the movies. Little Lord Fontleroy was the picture. funny how the people have to be amused. I never got into the habit. funny Alice never writes these days. Gladys is worth two of her mother. she has been to see me twice. I wish she had a home of her own, a mighty fine girl I think. its pretty near time for my supper. I eat very simply & by so doing I can sleep nights. hope you are having better & warmer weather. & are well Ma
