Dear Folks
Still cold and sunny. we have just listened over the radio to the report of the mine. the rescue of the three men, one being dead, this morning. a little after mid-night. thankful they are out at last. the Canadian government gave the United States a good slap over the false reports, four of our reporters had been giving to the people & they expelled them for giving sensational news that were not true at such a time. pretty disgrace guess it was true. the man with water soaked feet, danger of losing his feet in such a bad condition, he walked all around after they rescued him, no truth at all to the statement, was said everything done for them as soon as they were taken out, hospital right there on the grounds, with doctors & nurses to attend them Canada was giving them every care possible now hope they survive. a terrible ordeal they have been though guess they will have a horror for going into mines after this. we expected a frost during the night it was growing cold against the thermometer were way down in the thirties during the night & will remain cool during the day the radio says.

PS
Myrtie says Alice had spasms all night & fell on the floor in a heap this morning Myrtie sent the doctor as soon as she could get him. he said she has "low blood pressure". I dont know how she is coming out but just hope Percy may get something soon am afraid he dont. I think her birthday is the 22nd of April.
