they have a most beautiful home & wanted her to see the improvements that had been made since she was there & say they are coming over to get us to spend the day with them soon. yesterday three of his friends came here to see her also. they used to know her well they were all very wealthy, but seemed to have missed her and were mighty glad they could find her at home. they asked me if she did not cheer me up. they were very nice every day sort of people all Episcopals. Careta came here yesterday. Gladys came here Saturday afternoon a little while. she got that job in Brockton & lives in Everette & travels back & forth every day & has all winter. she is a faithful girl. I gave her one of those pictures Soper took. she would appreciate it as much as any one I know. her mother is still waiting. Gurneys doctor died, but he still lives on. we are having a very stormy day with lots of wind and much rain, but our cellar is dried out thanks be. I hope you meet with no accidents on your trip, these days are so full of such things. I have just been reading of the Tornado down in that section of the country. you must have got out in time to avoid it. it's not safe to travel this time of the year.
