Dear Doris

Another rainy day our cellar has just got settled so I can get to my oil to read the meter & now it may come in again it may not. yesterday it was very warm 60° outside I sweat all the afternoon such a change in temperature. the frogs were jumping at night & Mrs Barry saw a robin in the back grove. Careta called in the afternoon & the Drake girl in the evening. she came to talk business with Mrs Barry about a customer that she thinks will buy her paper weight, she values it at $15. it came from France & this man is collecting them as a hobby.

Irma has just called me up to tell me that Addie Healey was dead. it seems that Helen & Ethel went up to Worcester to Addies & found she had died just an hour before they got there so Mame got Ethel to notify Irma & tell me of it. she had died of a shock. it may scare Mamie she will be likely to go in a shock next. a good way if it takes her.
