Dear Folks

We woke up in the midst of a snow storm. dont think it will ammount to much as it is coming damp & may turn to rain. we feel that winter is still with us, after three very sunny days. will Bill started at 10 O'clock last night for Florida. he was going to stop of a day in Virginia to break up the journey and he will be gone three weeks. he had his life insured before he started & made it out to his mother. I am going to begin knotting my quilt this morning so the weather wont mean much to me. I was glad to have something of interest to occupy my time. she went to play cards yesterday afternoon. with a different crowd, they all fight to have her. her old gang wanted her but the others got her first. so they have to speak ahead. Stella Bird the one who married Pat Mahoney, he died and she went crazy. has lost her mind now entirely & has two nurses. her money wont last long now poor thing. there is crazyness in the Bird family (Marshall you remember.)
