and around, Laura was a good sport & did not lose her head so with God's help they arrived safe but there is not much fun in driving such weather & going. the boy through Mrs Barry knowing P.J.S. got the job. he had been out of work over a year, ever since French & Ward shut down. he was very thankful & so was his Aunt Laura he had a wife & child who went in the car with them. it has been a terrible winter for every body. my oil man came to day. I asked him if there was any danger of a coal shortage, he said the Wurplie's had an abundance of it on hand. no danger whatever. he says its the terrible wind that makes it burn out so quickly. we never had cold weather last so long in a stretch before. I hope this is our worst month. Mrs Harrington came yesterday. she is again coming tomorrow & I am going to have him take me down to the bank. he is a good man & likes to be of use. he likes Mrs B & says he is going to have her for his second wife. she had a chance to go to Brockton this afternoon to do a few errands some for me, so that is where she is now, expect her home before dark. its now six O'clock I have just been to supper, now I am finishing my letter. hope you are getting through your snow banks. it is so cold here ours dont melt. but we have good paths & very bright sun we are getting used to our zero weather. we keep warm nights with our beech rocks heated & our front room evenings. winter wont last forever only a few weeks more  Ma
