Dear Folks
We had a very pleasant sunny day Friday, last night the sky was full of stars, but towards morning it began to snow & when we got up the ground was white. we are expecting more later for it is a leaden sky & feels chilly like snow. I got oil yesterday & in a week more coal will have to be ordered. we have no complaint to make for this for our winter has been mild, in spite of predictions. we were listening in to Hoovers speech, it was more than good it hit the President & dont you think it didnt. we never heard such cracking of jokes at his expense & such cheering. I could not get it up clear I wanted to as there was singing on a station near & it interfered with ours. Rosenfelt [[Roosevelt]] they say is going to reply to it later on. let him. Hover [[Hoover]] rubbed it in good & hope he heard it the conceited jackass. he & his wife are a good span (a cheap family.) they are a disgrace to our country. I hope we get a change for the country is going to the dogs fast.
