Stoughton January 14th 1936

Dear Folks
It has been a rain & cleared off cold after a week of mild pleasant weather. Mr Harrington came here yesterday after Mrs M B Eddies book we have been reading, to carry it into the library, so he took me along with him to do some errands, & was glad of the opportunity. Mrs Barry went to a Guild meeting of the ladies, they met at Res Johnnie Franks wife was English daughter of George Bly. They played games & carry a small cushion the shape & size of a sausage, it was won by Mrs. Bly her mother a lady 75 she sent word to me after Mrs. Barry told her who made it. she liked it so much & the Guilds president Mrs Marshall wanted me to have some sandwitches & cake they had for their treat, buts she same home so early in order to ride home the woman could not wait for it but stopped on her way to see a friend she knew Still a Bird & found she was crazy & had been taken to the hospital. you remember she married Pat Mahoney
