Stoughton Oct 27th 1948

Dear Doris. This is the first Pleasant day we have had since this week began. such gales of wind & rain. the sunny warm day seems nice. I have done my week washing & dried my clothes on the back line in a few hours. The trees came Monday. we called up Mr Turner he is coming early to set them out. they are on the porch in a cool place. guess they are better there than inside where its warm. I got your card this forenoon. Ma
