Dear Doris:

A change in our temperature seems good - up to last night, we have been very uncomfortable with temp over 90˙ most of the time. but showers around us & a change of wind to the N West, has cooled us off. now we are comfortable & a fire in the range seems good. we havn't built up the fire for two days. a good rain all night, did lots of good & prevented us from fires. I opened the little building yesterday twice to get rid of the hot air inside. the seeds you planted are all growing fine. The little Calder boy was here yesterday he brought us over four little cream filled cakes. I gave him some cookies. he mows my lawn, & its most time to mow it again now love Ma
