Dear Doris

We are in for a humid weekend over 70° early at noon, in the 80ies. Up to now, its been cool since the shower we had in the middle of the week, that was very cooling. We have cool nights & mornings when the sun goes down.

Since Swanson came to see us Thursday & she told us the news, this minister (Killpatrick) is going to get rid of Reynolds in the choir. There has been some talk about Norma & Frank, he is crazy over her & no doubt wants a wife. he would marry her if she would get a divorce from her husband, the truth is the husband is too good for her, he married her when she was in a family way. I never have liked that woman.

We are going to have chicken for our Sunday dinner, she has just gone off to church, but dont sing any more in the choir. Monday she is planning to go to see her dentist. Friday she went to Clo Hegans to play cards. Florence Hickey & Mrs Lambert are the other two they have very good tomes its a crowd & they are not stuck up they are nice people. I hope you can come home for your vacation in an early time when you planned, so Sid can have three weeks up here, for a good vacation. he needs it

I guess you can make it right with her she will go up to Mrs Morgans, since he died she is lonely.
