Stoughton May 23rd 1948

Dear Doris

This is our first pleasant day this week. so I have washed also dried my clothes in four hours & taken them in off the line. now I am writing a few lines to you before you start for home. We had fish chowder. she bought half a pound of fish & made it into a chowder its lasted us for two dinners. we had also a salad & for dessert lemon pie.  they had Mr. Marshal preach the sermon today in Trinity church. they agreed it to be a very nice one.  the church was packed. Bertha Reynolds was in the car. she went to the (Methodist) church as usual. I hope to see  you soon at the end of the week.
