Dear Doris

This is a cool windy day the sun comes out once in a while but mostly cloudy. I just got your letter glad you can get out occasionally. our forsythia bushes are beginning to look lovely. with so much rain I went down cellar to see if the rains we have had so constantly, had made it wet but found it was perfectly dry. it pays to have a dirt cellar where the water sinks in, but when our snow was all so deep around the house, there was no way for it to get away, so then it came in but soon soaked in a little while. it didn't last long.

Mrs Barry went over to the hospital yesterday. I sent over a boquet of daffies. it pleased them very much Maude is glad Bertha Upham has got home from her brothers & says she is looking very well. has recovered from her sick spell she had in the winter. now Maude is hungry all the time but lays abed mostly. she is growing terrible big & don't worry about anything.

Bertha Reynolds rode down to church with them last Sunday. they have got the old house all fixed up where she can make it her home over Saturday & Sunday & thats about all. for she is in great demand. they want her back where she was
