Helen called up the other evening for a chat. I told her how Leon had been over. She said if he got enough business he might not go back to his electrical job in Sendville. He was sick of that job so many years. Helen said she was looking forward to some "good long trip" soon of a Sunday. Those trips just about kill Sid and me, they are so long! We like short ones when we can get out and explore.

The old cat isn't at all well. We have dosed him with mineral oil for his bowels and are giving him pills for a tonic, but he can't seem to keep his food down, and acts sick. I feed him when he will eat on the choicest cut up morsels. I don't know whether he will pull along till summer time or not. He is out doors now on a little stroll, the first he has had today, and he walks so old and feebly. I suppose all cats have their age limit, and 15 years is a pretty old age for any of them.

It is nice out today, sunny, but cool, – down to 34° this morning. I suppose it froze fruit trees in places. The red Bud and pears and apples are all blooming and dogwood beginning to whiten. I hope it is nice up there too. Doris said she felt she was going back to winter again. I guess it isn't quite so bad. You should be having warm days soon.
