Stoughton March 16th 1948

Dear Doris I have just got your letter. We have had a good rain, which has melted away lots of our snow & we were not sorry to see it go. for it does seem good to see bare ground once more. our temperature is around 50° so it may melt more during the PM. our crocus is just coming up from under the snow, so Gladys said when she was here Saturday The sun is trying to come out. radio said showers all during the day but it dont always hit it. I mailed your check along this morning hope it gets there safe.
love Ma
