I am writing the letter for some thing to take up my time this gloomy cold day.

Doris was lucky not to come out through this snow storm. the weatherman predicts three to five inches of snow today. I guess coasting down the hill will be enjoyed by the children still longer. its been terrible slushy driving now it freezes & it will be awful icy again.

Myrtie writes that she has'nt been out but three times since xmas but is going up to Vermont when the going gets good. I had a letter from her daughter Elsie she always remembers the good times we had when her Grandmas was sick (Abbie Joel.)

Mrs Barry cannot go to church so she is listening in to sermons on the radio. we dont like the minister that took Mr Bradners place but they like him in the church, he draws a big audinance & is all for show. a good gabber. as the snow is coming down I guess people will again have to shovel out their paths. I was in hopes out little new moon would keep off the storm

We are going to have a lamb roast with greens and butterscotch pudding with squash pie for desert at supper time to night. a load of sand has just gone past the house funny. there must be some holes to fill up somewhere. love Ma
