Stoughton Feb 12th 1948

Dear Doris. We had another snowstorm during the night but this morning its sunny & not very cold in the 30ies, but its going to rain soon so the radio says. it seems good to have it warmer after so much zero weather. & glad there was no more come just a few inches enough to cover up the tracks, theres enough to get rid of already on the ground. The swill man came to Pupellos this morning so I stuck my head out the upstairs window to ask him if he wouldn't come over to get mine. so he took a few steps across then shook his head no path so now we will have to burn it up in the stove guess

believe everybody else who knew about it also. that wedding cost the O'Haras $1200 dollars so Dora said, they like to make a splurge. a big supper with lots of drink, more than one went home drunk even father Gun was feeling pretty jolly. Pete McGarvey was also feeling jolly rubbing his face against womens cheeks. Well everything turned out all right at last. Mrs Barry slept all right after she got her coat back. cried all night the night she lost it. the wedding reception will long be remembered here in Stoughton every body was in sympathy for Mrs Barry now I guess this is all I can write to day so hope you are feeling much better

love Ma
