Stoughton February 8th 1948

Dear Doris

Thanks be its pleasant for Sunday after a slight snow flurry during the night & not so cold although radio propheside high winds & very cold weather to night. I wont mind as long as it wasn't any more snow. around 25° this morning.  

Mrs Barry is going to the wedding with the Ballantines at four this afternoon. Catherine O'haras. its to be a big event. they were not invited. (the Ballantines) but being in the Catholic church any one can go. Gertrude, Addie, & Tom, which gives Mrs Barry a chance to get down there & back without hiring a Taxie. it was funny that the others werent invited Dora worships Mrs Barry. she gave the girl two very nice presents, one for a shower, which was a nice tablecloth came from across the water and a nice dish like one of mine in the china closet, only different colors. they were  lucky to have the good sunshine today.

Mrs Pupello has gone back to the hospital for the operation that was to come after the birth of her baby. I guess he is worried about her & guess well he might be. there are only two of his children at home. their two oldest ones they have an aunt to run their house & a cousin helps him in the store. their other children are among relatives. he is carrying another business down in the basement of his house here. guess he doesnt make much at his grocery store. he is going to the hospital to see how she is getting along, all his spare time.
