Dear Doris. Everything is covered with snow trees, roofs of houses, telephone wires & hedges, the tops of cars a pretty sight. I put on our colored glasses as I sat up in the front chamber in the sun to save my eyes. the first day we have seen any sun & I wanted to get the full benefit of it seemed so good. Early this morning the thermometer

of ashes handy. the children have just come on the hill to coast after school. I have just heard of Luella Southworths death, she was Franks widow. I used to go to high school with she & her sister Isabelle Drake & have always kept in touch with her the sister married a Farrington lived up to dry pond at the horse race track. they were very nice girls about my age. The book you sent came all right. Those pictures were very nice you sent in your letters. I have saved them for you & now this is the new paper.
love Ma.
