tramping through snow drifts. all the children are coasting even go down the stand pipe hill where you & Madeline used to go on your skis. there was a notice in last nights paper about Mrs Brays death. I cut it out to send it to you. she must be near my age. poor Madeline now is left all alone. she may go to live with brother Ned. I was in hopes the sun would shine to day but so far its cloudy but not so very cold. I did my wash yesterday the clothes still hang on the line on the porch. that's a good place for them in winter weather then after they get over dripping we can bring them in to dry over the kitchen hanger. Norma Lainey came over Thursday to shovel out the path at the lower end where the plow filled it up, when they went along with the sidewalk clearer. last night they went along again & filled it up so now its bad as ever. Mrs B cant get out to go to church but is thinking of going out to clear it herself so to go some where this evening with Frank Reynolds to stop for her.
