escaped it, we have but little sunshine it begins early in the morning and then clouds up & rains. yesterday the morning began by wind & pouring rains then cleared off in the afternoon & remained very pleasant, with a bright moon at night, & got my kindlings about 3 oclock [[o'clock]] in the afternoon a good lot of them so was very lucky
