Stoughton February Sunday 1951

Dear Doris
A very sunny day & not too cold it grew warm since morning. we had a terrible snow storm all night over a foot of snow fell during the night & this morning I looked out of the window & saw a boy over to the next house so hurried to the door & beconed him over to dig us a path up to the front door. during the time Mrs Barry had called up the Leonards found they had telephoned but found he couldn't come till afternoon. so as luck would have it my path was dug for nothing. as Mr Benoie told this boy who was his nephews he was going to dig the path later on & not to charge me anything. so he dug me a splendid big path. since the sun has melted it after it had been dug its all bare ground. they seem the best family that have ever lived in that house. we are going to do everything we can to show our appreciation of their kindness neighborly feelings to us.
