Dear Doris
My birthday was pleasant & warm. I guess all that came over six people, enjoyed coming they all brought me presents. Mrs Barry ordered ice cream but it never reached us from the little store till after five Oclock & they had all gone home & only chocolate one kind they brought, they went off & closed up their store. so more than half of it melted away as we two couldn't eat it up. Albert & Myrtle Gilcher came. she brought me a coffy cake as she always does, when she comes it was very nice & light. Myrtle was always one of my true & faithful friends. She always has stood by me Laura came late, she brought me a lovely little plant in all in bloom, right from the green house Phoebie Hill also came she brought a box of candy & a crotched little face cloth.
