Dear Doris,

A cool cloudy day 30° the sun may come out
later. we have had a lot of windy weather but its quite calm to day. folks have gone to meeting early they like their minister since they got more acquainted with him. he came here to call & liked his appearance very much.

It seems to be trying to be pleasant the sun is now coming out so guess we shall have a pleasant Sunday after all I hope so if its what seems gloomy its a stormy Sabbath. I am sending you an Obituary I read in my Brocton Enterprise yesterday it was a great surprise to us both she had with her a x mas card but hadn't sent it luckily for us all she had failed to do so the last time I saw her she came to my Birthday party.

I havent seen Charles family for a long time so if the sun continues to shine out, they may come today. Gladys was here a week ago. we have a good moon now so that makes us have pleasant weather.

Laura took Mrs Barry to Brockton Friday she was going a shopping and wondering how to get there, when she called her up & asked her to go you may believe it was a welcomed surprise to her. They had to get back early, for they took along the little boy. Norma now has a boy & girl. they are spoiling the little boy. They give him every thing he wants. having had no children of their own, they humor these two. Rubell the father is off to the war.
