Stoughton December 3rd 1950

Dear Doris
This is a very sunny warm day, the first we have had it so comfortable for a week 40 in the porch early. we have had no snow yet to amount to anything just a little flurry.
Hazel Drake came yesterday & said everything over to the old place was all right as far as she could see no limbs broken the barn leaks as it has there by the horse stall, I asked about the other little building and she said she would look at it to see if she could get in & let me know. it tore off a lot of Mr Benoirs shingles on the roof of the house so she came over to see if she could borrow a ladder so to have them put on.
Mrs Barry went with Mrs & Mr Falder over to the Ballantines after Gertrude died they had a big wake lots of folks were there & Tom the
son told Mrs Barry that rents were cheap he didn't think but it would be a good plan for his folks to sell their house & hire a little tenement. he being married his wife is a nurse he works in the same building she does they only pay $20. for their tenement pretty cheap these days should think.
Mrs Burk went to a card party & she sent me a package of Sentinols as she frequently does for she knows I love to read them I didnt open the package right away but thought they seemed to be carefully done up with rubber bands that were put around them.
