Obituaries 
Mrs. Lucy Holmes Of Stoughton Dies In Her 97th Year

STOUGHTON. — Mrs. Lucy Holmes, a lifelong resident of this town, and a childhood friend of Mary Baker Eddy, died Friday evening after a brief illness. She was 96 years old.
She was a lover of flowers and plants and it was her hobby to care for them and watch them grow. For years she chopped and sawed the wood she burned in her pleasant home at 290 Walnut street. Mrs Holmes had been well down through the years and had kept abreast of the news through the daily papers. For many years, she has had Mrs. Blanche Barry as her companion. 
Mrs. Holmes was born here in the Mary Baker Eddy house on Central street, Feb. 19, 1855, the daughter of Alanson and Sally (Talbot) Wentworth. She was a favorite of Mary Baker Eddy, founder of the Christian Science church, who was 34 years old when Mrs. Holmes was born. 
One of the earliest graduates of Stoughton High school, in the class of 1867, Mrs. Holmes was a classmate of the late Dr. William Otis Faxon. Later in life she married Arthur L. Holmes of this town, who operated a country grocery store for many years. He later served on the board of assessors and for many years was director of the Stoughton Co-operative bank.
Surviving her is a daughter, Mrs. Sidney F. Blake of Washington, D. C., and a granddaughter Miss Doris Blake, a student at Radcliffe College.
Services will be held from the funeral home at 115 Monk street, this town, Monday afternoon at 3:30. Rev. Donald B. McKeeman, pastor of the Universalist church, of which she was a member is to officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

William H. Coe
STOUGHTON.—William H. Coe, 81, died Friday at the home of his son, Francis, 56 Bradford street, this town, after a long period of failing health.
He was born in Fulton, N.Y., April 23, 1870, the son of Wallace and Annie (Simons) Coe. He was retired and had lived here for 45 years. He was identified with Trinity Episcopal church.
He is survived by three sons, William of South Weymouth, Francis of this town and James of Oakland, Cal.; a daughter, Mrs. John Cowgill of thus town and nine grandchildren by three daughters, Miss Grace R. Smith, a teacher at the Central school, Mrs. Sadie Clapp of this town and Mrs. Ruth Chalke of East Weymouth; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 532 Washington street, Whitman, on Sunday afternoon at 2:30.

Miss Annie C. Kelly Dies at Age of 82
Miss Annie C. Kelly, 82, of 8 Track street, well known dressmaker and proprietor of a dress shop here for many years, died today at her home after a lingering illness. She was born in Hopkinton, a daughter of the late John C. and Hanora (Fitzpatrick) Kelly and lived here 65 years. She was highly regarded by many friends.
Miss Kelly was a devoted communicant at St. Patrick's church. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Court, MCOF.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Mary C. Murphy, Eileen A. Murphy, Anna F. Murphy, who is executive secretary at the Brockton Catholic Charity Centre; Teresa J. Murphy and Rev. William E. Collins of St. Brendan's church, Dorchester, with all of whom she made her home; also Mrs. Charles E. Dwyer. Mrs. William R. Carroll, Rev. Thomas J. Murphy, SJ, of Fairfield University, Fairfield, Conn., Maurice V. Murphy of Hope Valley, R. I., J. Charles Collins of Washington, D. C., John C. Kelly of Weymouth and Miss Grace M. Kelly of Brockton. 
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:15 from the funeral home, 165 Belmont street. A solemn high mass of requiem will be sung at St. Patrick's church at 10 A. M. Interment will be in Calvary cemetary.

Mrs. Anna M. Russo
HANSON.—Mrs. Anna Marie (DiMestico) Russo, widow of Peter Russo, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Thayer, 1262 Main street, after a long period of failing health. Mrs. Russo was a well known resident of the town having resided here for the past 45 years. She belonged to no organizations, her chief interests being her home and family. Besides her daughter with whom she resided she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. George Chiros of Whitman, and three sons, Frank Russo of Brockton, Samuel Russo of Hanson, and Nicholas Russo of Whitman; 10 grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Monday morning at 8 at the funeral home.
