Stoughton July 28th 1951

Dear Doris.

Thunder showers last night & torrential rains all night, so we dont have to wet down anything this morning. the sun is trying to shine out & its much cooler, the wind got out into the North West late in the afternoon, after a pretty warm spell. our house is cool the outside windows make lots of cool air daytimes. I am sitting up stairs writing my letter & the cool air comes in at the window my sweater is none too warm. Bill doesnt work Saturdays but he is coming to night to bring us a small chicken to fry. it will take him a long time before he gets the barn shingled but will do a good job nevertheless. he can get the chicken cheaper than we can get it in our markets so we let him get it there someone he knows in Holbrook. Bill is good to us.
