Very muggy with thunder rumbles but no rain. Sig has just finished sifting his coal, he has done a good ton. Doris is studying this evening as usual. My first pink tomato ripening - I watered them well this afternoon as nature seems to be concentrating on Kansas now.

The Scotch girl was over with her baby. He has 2 teeth now and wears only a diaper this weather. Bobbie Williams [[anon?]] the way sailed off for Panama to join her young husband today. Doris got her a silver fruit spoon for a wedding present.
