Dear Ma:

90° still no rain. We are all out side trying to cool off before going to bed. Doris has just finished a paper that she has given Sid to look at. He has been reading over his stenrg's day's work correcting it, and I have been getting my paper ready - they want to send it to the printer tomorrow. We are a productive family! Sid and me of his colleagues went over to the Dept orchard & picked up a little bag of windfall apples that he brought home tonight. I am going to make an apple pie.

Doris.
