violent down pour at daybreak this morning and all the while we were at the beach black clouds kept passing over, but fortunately didnt spill. This afternoon, tho, has been clearer and the mugginess seems to have lifted, tho it is still pretty hot. The water was so warm that we felt no shock at all going in and could have stayed in all day. There were no stinging jelly fish to amount to anything either.

My tomato plants are growing & setting fruit. I hope we shall have some ripe before we come up. I have a few blooms on my nasturtium. Are yours at that stage yet? Have your gladiolas or the summer flowering begonias shown up yet?

Doris.

There is a bill up now to reduce gov. leave to 20 days from the 26 days, so we may not get so much time hence forth, too bad.
