Stoughton Jun 13th 1951

Dear Doris Our cool wet weather has changed. today is 65° early this morning & very sunny. & it seems good to open our windows and enjoy the sun shine & air writing my letter up in the front chamber. I have begun to save my water to water my seeds in the garden. this three days of rain has done them lots of good & save my legging out pails of water, to the garden, to stimulate their groth [[growth]]. we have had our lawn mowed but the rain has made it good & grass is coming up wonderfully even again. the last time he did a fairly good job. she is going to cook our chicken & make as small a fire as possible from cinders, so let the fire go out early in the day. my pudding & cookies she baked yesterday to gather with some sweet bread as we were running short of white bread & it was a few days before we sent in our order for Jimmies super market man to bring us
