them so let him go to North Stoughton examination & he brought them & was sick & I took them from him & was dangerously sick. diptheria & scarlet fever set in & I was very sick & most died. so look out for a disease like that. dont let any of the family come there while it rages. I hope Bill may come to day & carry my letter to mail. I am feeling as if it is so warm I can sit out on the porch for a change.  Ma.

Dear Doris.

Its a very suny & warm day. we have just had a nice powerful rain to wet down the suroundings, in case of a fire. it was much needed all one day & night. so it must have done lots of good. it came Friday the next day after her card party. she was lucky to have her day so
