Stoughton April 22nd 1951

Dear Doris.
A very pleasant day but cool. The things around the house look very beautiful & yellow forcythia bushes are very lovely all yellow & in bloom- daffils also show their beautiful yellow glow. I must pick a boquet & send it to Laura as I do every year. It must look shoey to ride around the town & see so many yellow bushes insight. my lilacs are bared out and all budded. The roses also our rains, have brought every thing forward at last. Grass grows green every day. Last of all I set out some daffodils that had been sent us from the church & had been sent outside and so thought they might as well be in the ground beside the pansie that lived under the window through the winter. I put some vigero around them to make them more thrifty. I find that my tulips in front of the house in the round bed, are budding. Myrtil gave me one long ago but guess it is not alive. it was set out under the bay window. I miss her now. Alice called up to day she is over 70 years old it dont
