Dear Mother,

The damp, rainy weather continues. Dean did quite well on Monday, a sunny day, but wasn't able to work on the fourth.

Tomorrow I will be interviewed for one of the two jobs I have recently applied for. This one is with the Planned Parenthood Federation and involves some statistical work as well as typing. The other job is with a neighborhood center in my neighborhood and involves writing monthly and annual reports, for which they need a person who can write as well as type. They pay more money than the Planned Parenthood people and with the possibility of walking to work I can save an additional four odd dollars a week, making the increase nearly $25 a week over the present job salary. So I am inclined to prefer that job.

Today it turned sunny, and we plan to hike over to the Lindsay park before dinner to watch the boats and dogs. That is a very fine park, with view of the flowering shrubs on Lindsay's lawn and many shady trees on the walk.

That's about all for the present. I must finish off the day's work. One of my bosses took two days off and left her work with me and a man here. It has taken us several hours and a couple of phone calls to her to straighten out in our minds what we were supposed to do, and now I must get the results in the mail.

                        Love,
                        Doris

Mrs Blake - hope you're well-
Doris is as I am. This month is both our birthdays. Send all love, Dear
