fired I will write another interoffice memo to said President, name of Coleman, explaining that Mark is the most hated man in the whole corporation. My supervisor (from Trinidad) regularly threatens to quit about every 6 months because of the way he gets on her back (bugs her, in slanguage), and after our joint session with Mark, I said, "Sylvia, I wouldn't have your job for 1 million dollars," and she sadly concurred.

Well, that's about all. I am becoming [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] the best typist in the Corp. while I have to work on waiting for the expenses to be paid because I know Russian, English, spelling, etc., so I don't mind it too much. My writer friend is using the rented ($10 a week, all repairs included) IBM electric typewriter on his fourth novel while I work on the job and type on it on weekends and evenings (when he is forced to use my old manual machine). We'll all make a mint before long. I bet on Off-Track-Betting for the first time Saturday on the advice of my friend and won $100. (cost to me: $4.00). I plan to continue taking his good advice and we may end up quite well-to-do sitting at home typing in the coolth of the air conditioner while we're waiting to finish our books.
