July 3, 1972 Dear Mother, After another good night's rest and staying in all day yesterday, I plan another busy day. I have obtained the jewelry franchise in my office. My predecessor gave it up, my supervisor, who sells lingerie and panty hose, agrees. So I have been busy collecting cheap jewelry to sell at about 100% profit. Every pay day a great deal is to be made. It is fun and easy. I should like to visit you in D.C. sometime but do not now know when. I have to find out when the second nose operation is scheduled, which I will learn next Friday. While in D.C. I should like to visit the Patent Office in Va., to investigate 3 inventions I have in mind. The weather here is very hot and humid with continued rain in the evening, so I always carry a rain hat. That's about all. Love, Doris
