There is one thing that George Stauch told me that is perhaps of importance to you. He was shoved back to reality by the absolute necessity of earning a living. He tried to talk sense to her in those terms last Friday but it didn't get anywhere because she was full of schemes to make money on crazy investments. It would be wise for you to leave your money to her in the form of a trust fund, so that she would receive the interest but couldn't touch the principle. The interest would be enough to keep her from the poorhouse but not enough to let her live well, so that economic necessity might force her to realize that she had to make some compromise with reality if she were to live reasonably well. The money she has under her personal control now is enough to allow her to live for years without working, and is a very attractive target for anyone who wants to take advantage of her. Since this has happened to her once, it might happen again. I do believe that this is temporary and will end soon. However, since it has happened, I think she should be protected against a repetition.

I said I would come to see you for the Memorial Day holidays, to help you buy a new car. I still expect to do so, and I hope I have some really good news by then.

With Love,

Jack Ullman
