tube 9 miles out. Foggy & cold

Road good to Damariscotta 
Hotel Fiske looked good.  

Wiscasset 11.AM - Broke tube 
crossing hedge to Edgecomb 
to see Marie Antoinette house 
& round foot. Went on into 
country by horse. Gave 
$2. to Red Cross as he would 
not take any thing. House 
poor. Closed. Apparently 
nothing in it. Furniture 
dispersed long ago. Picked 
up by another in [[reli--?]] 
left at door of Miss F.A. 

Sortwall. Lovely house with 
usual woodwork - mantles 
going around corners. Oval 
stairs to top Oval dome.  

Palladian window each floor 

Town hall red brick [[?]] 
Curved in arch with 
Central Georgian door 
& recessed windows.

Mrs Belhes house very 
large & interesting.  One
