Dear Tony:

As agreed - not having heard from Mr. Daniels - I am having the small painting by:

SOLIMENA - "Madonna of the Martyrs"

shipped to your Museum on approval, sir express, to your attention, all expenses prepaid.

The selling price, as you will recall, is $6,500 (SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS)

Under separate cover, you will receive our shipping advice in duplicate, one of which kindly return with your signature, after the safe arrival of the painting.

The painting remains insured by my Fir [[Firm]] while in the custody of your Museum and in transit both ways.

I do not want to close this letter without telling you how much it meant to me to see you again in such splendid form, and with your usual dynamism and delightful sense of humor. I enjoyed also having had the opportunity of making the acquaintance of your new Curator, Miss Parsons.

With kind thoughts,

Yours,

Germain Seligman
