May 5, 1969 Dear. Mrs. Fabbri: It was pleasant indeed to receive this morning your letter of May 2nd, with the enclosure of your check in the amount of $1,200 in settlement of your purchase of the drawing attributed to DUGUET - "Paysage à la Tour Ronde". Herein, you will find my Firm's receipted invoice. The drawing is being shipped to you, either today or tomorrow, by Air Express, and I do trust that it will reach you safely. It remains insured by my Firm until delivery to you. You will have realized that the purpose of my writing as I did was to avoid any misunderstanding, and I am glad to learn that being a candidate for a PH. D. in Art History you are aware of the difficulties encountered in the matter of attributions. Let me say that you have acquired a very delightful drawing and may I express the hope that you will derive great enjoyment from it. Answering your query I am sorry to have to disappoint you as to a provenance, for I was not given any - as is so often the case nowadays. With all good wishes, Sincerely yours, Germain Seligman Mrs. Remo Fabbri, Jr. 123 York Street, 4-H New Haven, Connecticut 06511 OP
