Office Howard Asylum,
Lauderdale, Miss. June 17, 1868,

Lieut. J. W. Sunderland, 24th Inft.
D.O. and A.A.Q.M.
Vicksburg, Miss.

Lieutenant,
I would respectfully request to be furnished with a Cooking Range or Stove of largest size, for the use of this Asylum, The stove now in use is worn out, besides it is too small and every way inadequate and unsuitable. A range would be preferable; that or a stove is much needed.

I am Lieutenant
Very respectfully,
Your obedient servant
Agent Bu. R.F &c
