Dear Sir,
There is a number of books here that belong to your Society and that were left here by Mr Beard. They are such as will be needed in the school when it opens. If they can be had at reasonable rates I will recommend to the bureau that they be purchased. There are here 137 writing Books, 50 Slates, 5 Wall Maps, 13 School Charts, 300 2d Readers. 300 3d Readers. &c. &c.
Please, at your earliest opportunity, let me hear from you, also stating prices of the books, &c.
