Major,
I have the honor to state that fifty Desks and seats will be required for the use of the school to be opened at this place, these can be had here for ($4.) four dollars a set, or two hundred dollars for the whole lot. 
I would recommend that they be purchased as per above proposition; otherwise that I be authorized to purchase the required amount of lumber for the same.
