291 Office Howard Orphan Asylum Lauderdale Miss. Dec 8 1868 Mrs. Bettie H. Boone, Clinton Hinds Co. Miss Madam, Your favor enclosing communication from Maj Jno. Tyler A.A. Gen'l dated Vicksburg Miss Nov. 23 1868. just received and in reply will say that the two orphan children asked for will be sent as directed [[?]] receipt of indentures made out in compliance with the laws of this state governing the apprenticing of children. There will be no expense in the transaction other than that of making up the papers, which you [[missing]] have done by the Probate Judge of the County in which you live and the transportation of the children from Lauderdale to Clinton.
