Winchester, VA, October 17th 1865.

In accordance with special order No 41 [[?]] III from Head Quarters Asst. Comr. State of Virginia Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen & Abandoned Lands, dated Richmond Va August 28th 1865, I hereby turn over to Otho Hewitt, the Frame Dwelling House, located in Bolivar, Jefferson County, Virginia, held by this Bureau as abandoned Land and rented to George Pearce, the lease to whom expired on the 30th day of September 1865.
