Winchester, VA, October 17th 1865.

In acceptance with Special order No 56, from Head Quarters asst. Comnr. State of Virginia Bureau Refugees, Freedmen & Abandoned Lands, dated Richmond, Va Septr 15th 1865, I hereby turn over 1. Benjamin Wentzel, the Brick dwelling house located in Bolivar, Jefferson County Va, and another Brick dwelling house located in Bolivar, Jefferson County va, held by this Bureau and rented, one 15 H. [[Rodsich?]], and the other to H. V. Daniels, the leases to whom expired September 30th 1865.

I Benjamin Wentzel, of Bolivar, Jefferson County, Va, do hereby acknowledge that I have this day received from Capt. W. Stone Hoss, A.Q.M. Supt Bu: R. F. & A. L. Sixth District va, the two Brick dwelling houses located in Bolivar, Jefferson County va ; the said two Brick dwelling houses being my own property And I also hereby assent and agree to the conditions of the orders under which the property is restored to me
