Head Quarters Sixth District, Virginia,
Winchester, VA., October 18 1865.

In accordance with Special order No 54 [[?]] from Head Qrs Asst Comm State of Virginia Bureau of Refugees, Freedman & A Lands dated Richmond Va Sept 13th 1865. I hereby turn over to Henry W. [[Clove?]] the Brick dwelling house located in Harpers Ferry Jefferson Co. Va, held by this Bureau as Abandoned Land and rented to Mrs Mary Beale. The Lease to whence expired on the 30th day of September 1865

I, Henry W. [[Clove?]] of Harpers Ferry Va. do hereby, acknowledge that I have this day received of Capt H. Stover How AQM etc. Supt Bu RF&AL in the sixth District Va the Brick dwelling house located in Harpers Ferry Jefferson County Va the said Brick dwelling house being my own property and I also hereby assent and agree to the conditions of the order under which this property is returned to me.
