Dr. Rink's wife was 17 years of Age when married - her father the predecessor of Gov. Elberg - Gov. Elberg [[strikethrough]] had [[/strikethrough]] succeeded Gov. Mullen 1850. Mrs. Rink home at Frederick Haab 
Like Greenland [[insertion]] is her home it [[/insertion]] would give her great sorrow to leave Greenland as she said to Gov. Elberg.

Dr. Rink been inspector 8 years of South Greenland. Two years Gov. Julianna haab. Dr. Rink a tall man.  A clever student - was employed by Gov ^[[insertion]] ernment [[/insertion]] to survey Greenland - got 500 Danish Dollars per Ann & found. Gov supplied Boats - Men and provisions.
Dined with Governor. Soup, Venison & potatoes for dinner. Coffee after with Miss Bulow added to our company.
